The Funeral

I think the most correct look for Charles is his highest ranking uniform. “Full Royal Navy Number One Ceremonial Uniform” is what it is called officially

William and Harry can be in a simpler, more stripped down version of their official military uniforms. William, I think would wear his Oder of the Garter blue sash to show his rank. Harry could ditch the sash alltogether and simply wear his medals on a fairly plain tunic

allthough not exactly appropriate...

Would Harry go rogue and wear black civilian garb with his title medals? This is Harry at an official Remembrance ceremony in Australia

Camilla likes coats and coat dresses. I think a coat, black gloves and purse, hat (off or on?) is good for her. Not sure about the boots, black hose and pumps might be better.

Princess Anne is famous for wearing her honorary military uniform, with pants, at official events. Here she is at the Queen Mum’s funeral. It is a feminist statement for her. Too bad she isnt in our play! Kate has no official honorary military rank (yet) but might choose to evoke a military look.... Kate is fond of this look and evokes it often

I love this dress from a recent remembrance ceremony. I love the tailored sense with the contrasting textures. It has a subtle military feel that I like for her. She always looks fucking smashing! I would love to build something like this for her.

The mourners would wear dark suits and ties or proper morning suits (cutaways with vest and traditional grey striped pants) depending on their progressive or conservative values

Prime minister Evans is a labour party liberal.. He and his party would wear suits to the funeral

James Riess would wear the traditional morning suit in support of royal tradition

The Coronation

The Archbishop of Canterbury would be in all his colorful regalia

The tradition is for a crimson surcoat to be worn under the ceremonial ermine cape

There are 2 capes at the ceremony by tradition... The entrance procession and bulk of ceremony is in the Robe Royale a red velvet cape, the final coronation cape is the Imperial Cape of royal purple velvet with ermine... Yikes! The full coronation ceremony is a big costume changing extravaganza!

Do want the purple or red cape for our scene?

My thought is that the entrance of William and Kate could be in red velvet ermine capes for both.

His and her versions... His most grand. If we can make the budget work... Charles can sport the purple Imperial version at parlaiment... even though he isnt yet officially coronated, he is siezing the throne and its power. Your thoughts?

Tradition calls for a crimson surcoat to be worn during the coronation as king. William’s red Irish guard officer coat could work.. or we can invent a crimson surcoat all our own! There is no rule calling for a military uniform but it can be the choice. This is Williams favorite, he chose it for his wedding
